Hey you guys!!!
I'm so sorry that we didn't get to post anything the whole time we were in Paris. I wanted to really bad but we had to pay for internet. :( I'll just say that it was amazing till the last day. We went to Versailles (if that's how you spell it...sorry if I miss spell all these French words.) Its a huge monster palace! :D It was beautiful. We climbed enough stairs to last us a life time. We climbed up the Arc of Triumph. Notre Dame. Down into the Catacombs, and sooo much more. We had fun, even though everyones feet hurt at the end of the day. On Monday we went to Normandy and Mont Saint Michelle and climbed more stairs there. :) It is a huge castle and is very beautiful and very entertaining. The next day we went and saw a tapestry that was 40 meters long, it told a story, and our audioguide told us all about it. :P So I know it doesn't have any details. It would have if I had had internet the whole time, but I didn't. But, I can tell you guys about yesterday. The day we came back.

We were all up at eight thirty getting ready to go do one last thing before we left Paris. So we headed out. Got breakfast, and got on the subway to go to the Catacombs. We got there, and we had to wait twenty minutes before it opened. When it did open we stood in line for another twenty minutes. The we were going down stairs...and stairs. We finally got down and went through a ton of spooky tunnels. Garrett scaring me all the time by turning around and making faces out of no where. Then we made it to the part the boys all were waiting for. The bones. Nasty...millions of bones. Stacked all the way up the walls so thick it wasn't even funny. Gross.
That went on down the creepy tunnels for forever. And that was our little thing we did in the morning! :D We got back on the subway and headed toward the Louvre to go shopping for everyone that we didn't already get something. :) We bought so many t-shirts the bag looked like it was about to explode. Then we got lunch and ran toward the subway to get to the hotel on time to go to the air port. We got our tickets and went on in half of us stuffing our tickets in our pockets. We got on and got off again at our stop. On our way up... security was there. Waiting to stop anyone without a ticket and charge them for it. So dad, Garrett, and I all had our tickets stuffed down into our pockets. Mom, Grayson, and Hope had thrown there's away. Security stopped them. Mom was going on and on saying I'm so sorry we through ours away! The one time I do all week and we get caught :(    The security people said Hope could get away with it and then they charged dad forty euros. apiece. No I'm not kidding. And yes it hurt everybody. Everyone left very angry. Dad shaking his head saying Oh that hurt. Then we got back to the hotel and loaded all of our stuff, and headed to the air port. We got there and started unloading all our stuff and realized, we had grabbed someone elses bag. We went to check in our bags and told them we had one unidentified bag that we accidently grabbed at the hotel. Dad's parents went on through and checked their bags but we couldn't. They would let us because for security reasons they thought the contents might be bad. So all we could do was wait till the guy from the hotel got there and took it back. So we sat. For a hour and a half. Our plane was in a hour and the guy still wasn't there. The man at the desk flagged us and he told dad that the guy was in traffic and that it would be another thirty minutes. He suggested that we check our bags and let dad stay there with the suitcase till he got there. So we did that. And at passport check the line was outrageous. Very long and painful. (Let me mention it took us about twenty minutes to check our bags. And ten in passport check) We were all losing it except Grayson and Mimi by the end of the line came. What if dad didn't make it?! We were all in tears by then. We got through pass port check and got on the shuttle. We got out and were still in tears going up to security. Grayson was saying he'll make it! Don't worry about it. I bet he was right behind us we just didn't see him. And sure enough right then dad comes out to go through security too. He sees us going you guys are still in security?? Everyone felt better after that but our plane left in fifteen minutes. We got through security and ran. Made it to the plane with a few minutes to spare. Sat down and tried to get everything under control. We'd made it. Onto this plane anyways. (Nine hours and three minutes later) We landed in Atlanta, Georgia. At about 6:45 Wednesday night. We went through customs... pretty quickly I must say. Then we went to dinner and just relaxed till it was time for our plane to start boarding. But they never did...so mom went to go look at the board. Delayed. Till midnight. (it was originally planned to leave five minutes before 11) Not cool. That was the longest day ever. We'd already been up for 22 hours. With short little naps in between. And we were exhausted. So we all take a nap in the Atlanta air port. Then at about 11 the lady says 7 minute boarding get in line guys! We all get up and get on and fell asleep. I don't think many of us remember even taking off. Garrett even thought when I woke him up at the Huntsville airport that we hadn't even taken off yet. It was a long day but we made it. We are home and we got a little sleep last night :) I will post pictures on facebook at some point forgive me if its forever from now :D

When we got here we hit the hotel. Then left and went and got a sandwhich at a corner deli thing. Then we went to the Seine then we headed to Notre Dame. And went all the way to the top. The view was amazing. We could see the Eifle Tower and so many other things from the top. The we went and saw the Mona Lisa. Pictures will be posted later two more minutes of internet.
Keep praying for travel purposes. Love!

Paris time!!!

Hey guys!!! We are leaving for Paris at 4:30 A.M. Portugal time tomorrow! Nothing to report today. Just a bunch of work. The only thing different we did today was that we made the whole camp hamburgers. Which of course was fun in its own way. :) The Cavacos are very nice and they need your prayers so keep praying! And pray for a safe trip to Paris tomorrow. Love!

Hey guys sorry I didn't get to post yesterday. We didn't get home till around 11. (In Portugal, not America)
Yesterday we went site seeing and it was really fun!
Portugal is very pretty. First we went to the beach! The water was very cold but the beach was beautiful. White sand, sea weed (of course), and islands surrounding! :) Then we went and ate lunch at a pizzeria. :D We got pizza... from Portugal and let me say it was HUGE. and we got 4!
Then we went to a castle. :D it was just some towers and walls surrounding, but still a castle. There is a town inside that castle and there is food and shopping! I think everybody got a little something as souvenirs there. After we did our time there we headed back toward Lisbon. There we saw some huge statues and memorials that represented the Portuguese settlements all over the world. Then we went to a mall out side of Vindas Novis and had McDonalds!! :D It was really good McDonalds. Not like America's :) Everyone ate their weight in food there. The food here in Portugal is great but you know. A break every now and then is appreciated. Then we headed home and went straight to bed.

That was our day yesterday.

We got most of our road done. We are getting more bricks tomorrow because we have almost completely ran out. We are still having a blast and we are going site seeing tomorrow. Thats all I have to say today! Keep praying and I will post pictures in a minute as promised.

What we are doing here in Portugal

So today was our first work day. We had a great and the weather is just amazing. Not very hot with a great breeze pretty much all of the time. :D
So what we did today was lay a bunch of concrete that turns into the bottom part of the edging for the new road. And that also. We are laying a new road. I know, I know. All you have to do for that is get a cement truck in here and let them do it. No way. Not for us. That would be way to easy. We have to lay down a bunch of broken tile and sand. Then we level it. They we put the cement bricks. Sounds like fun right? Its not that hard, and with the weather being this pleasant we are happy in long pants in the morning and evening.
The food is great. I know you go to foreign country thinking o no the food is going to be horrible. Its great here. It is not what we have at home but still. It is really good.
The first evening here we had this soup, it had broth and turnip greens or something green in it. Then the real meal was some spaghetti. I know. Sounds like regular spaghetti. No. It was different it have orange peppers in it and some sort of seasoning. :P but it was really good.
For breakfast we just had bread and hot tea. But it was really good and I told my mom that we should have that at home. For lunch we had that soup I mentioned a second ago, and these vegetables with some seasoning, and fish sticks! The desserts each day were pudding and watermelon!!!
Also I really want to tell you about how wonderful the Cavacos were. They gave us each our own room. And we were expecting to have to sleep on the floor. We each have two beds (this is the kids not the adults. The adults have their own little suites.) and a place to hang things and book shelves! So yes its great. We are loving it here.
I still hope you guys continue to pray for us and our safety here and what the Cavacos are doing with their ministry here in Portugal. There will also be pictures on here as soon as I figure out how to do it. Goodbye.
